From September 2025, Mrs Pomfret is the executive headteacher on an interim basis, pending the appointment of a permanent headteacher.
Mrs Pomfret is an experienced headteacher and is head at Orton CE school, another small school in our diocese. She has previously led our school as an executive head during the Covid-19 period.

Mrs Moss shares Class 2 teaching with Mr Prescott. She has a wealth of experience in a wide range of schools and she is a particular expert in PE. She also runs a variety of sports clubs after school each week.
Kim joined Dent Primary School in 2013.

Mandy is a senior teaching assistant, providing specialist one-to-one and whole class support in both Class 1 and Class 2. She also currently teaches PSHE. Mandy is an experienced, qualified teacher with an expertise in Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Mandy holds a national SENDCO qualification and is the school SENDCO. She is contactable for SEND issues through mandy@dent.cumbria.sch.uk Mandy joined the team at Dent in 2016. She is currently the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Mrs Umpleby has often been a supply teacher at Dent and last year worked full-time on secondment from Appleby Primary, teaching a mix of History, Geography and Literacy across all key stages. From September 2022 we are fortunate to have her permanently, teaching Class 1.
Mrs Umpleby is a very experienced teacher who most recently has experience as an EYFS teacher in Appleby. She is enjoys mountaineering, running, swimming and generally the outdoors.

Jolene is a teaching assistant who provides support in EYFS, 1-1 support for pupils across the school, as well some whole-class support and being a lunchtime supervisor.
Jolene joined us from Dent Preschool, where she has been the manager for a number of years. As an experienced and capable EYFS practitioner she has brought a lot of knowledge to our team and helped us with developing our recent introduction of 3 year-old provision.

Gwyn is the business administrator. She carries out all the day-to-day administration tasks and supports the head in organising the school's finances. She supports the teaching staff and generally keeps them in order. Gwynn is rumoured to have secret magical powers.

Lisa Greggo joins us from Boston, Massachusetts. She is retired from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, where she was an Assistant Dean in the Honors College.
Lisa enjoys reading, knitting, and walking in the dales. She also runs a micro bakery from her home in the village.

Nicola is the school chef and she is in charge of concocting a delicious, healthy, diverse and balanced menu for the whole school. Drawing on her years of experience in catering and as a mum to two small children, she creates all of her meals from scratch in the school kitchen. She also works with the children to help them with cookery as part of the curriculum. She has been at the school since summer 2019.
